Skills derived from Documents uploaded to a Staff Contact are one of the links between Service Resource Skills and Preferences which are used in finding suitable Support Workers to assign to Service Appointments.

This process is for syncing Skills linked to a Document Type to Skills a Service Resource has.

  1. Service Resource Skills need to be added as records manually on the Service Resource record

  2. Document Type Skills need to be added manually to the Document Type record.

  3. From the Contact related to the Service Resource, use the Manage Documents QA to add a Document.

  4. Go back to the Service Resource record, refresh the page and the Service Resource Skills end date will populate on the inherited Expiry Date from the uploaded Document Version

    1. Note, there is a Sync Skills End Date QA on the Service Resource record. You can use this to sync dates as a manual trigger. There is a near in real-time process that runs in the background.

Upload Documents that align with assigned Service Resource Skills

  1. Navigate to a Staff Contact Record and click Manage Documents Quick Actions

  2. Upload Documents that have the necessary skills assigned to them that are required on the Service Resource Record.

    1. In this example, the Service Resouce is required to be Vaccinated, we have added assigned a Vaccinated Service Resource Skill.

  3. When you upload a Vaccination document, the Service Resource Skill record will inherit the Document Expiry Date (if applicable) as the End Date.

    1. When a new Document Version is uploaded, you will need to navigate to the related Service Resource Record and click the Sync Skill End Dates Quick Action. This will ensure that the skills are up to date which is important for scheduling.

    2. Your Service Resource is now ready to be assigned to Service Appointments that require specific skills.
