The Volunteer Portal provides organisation volunteers with secure access to AnimalOS Locations and Animals which have been shared to the volunteer. This provides a volunteer with an experience similar to an Animal Attendant so they can help to complete open Animal Actions that are scheduled for the day.

A Contact can be assigned to a Unit or a Block by assigning the Location via Location Volunteers on the Contact record.

  • Assigning a Unit will provide the volunteer with access to Animal Actions associated with a specific Unit.

  • Assigning a Block will provide the volunteer with access to Animal Actions associated with all the Units in a specific Block.

Upon logging in a volunteer will see the Home tab with a summary of Animal Actions which are scheduled based on the Animals and Blocks they have been assigned to.

The Animals tab provides a volunteer with a list of Animals that have been shared with them to help assist with completing their Animal Actions.
