A Work Order is a job assigned to the Inspectorate Team based on Service Territory when an investigation is required into the reported Case.

A Work Order can be created from the Case Record which copies all the relevant details that have been captured on the Case to the Work Order Record, including the Animal Report/s that have been assigned to the Case.

The Work Order will be queued to the relevant Service Territory Team and automatically assigned to a Service Resource (Inspectorate Team Member).

From a Case Record you will see a Create Work Order option under the Feed Tab.

Clicking into the Create Work Order action, you will see that a lot of the detail is pre-populated based on the details on the Case. Some important areas to note when creating a Work Order:

  • The Service Territory will define who this Work Order is assigned to so ensure that it’s included when you create the Work Order.

  • The Work Type will define the action required for the Work Order, we have a few options to choose from - Cruelty Complaint, Rescue, Codes Inspection, Premise Inspection, Assistance and Film Notification.

  • Codes are not pre-populated and can be reviewed before creating the Work Order to tag any suitable areas.

An Address must be entered on the Work Order so the Inspectorate Officer knows where to go.

When you Save the Work Order it will automatically be assigned to someone in the Service Territory that you selected and the Animal Report will be updated with a relationship to the new Work Order so the inspectorate team can see this detail. Under the Related Tab on the Case you can see the Work Order that has been created and can click in to the record via the Work Order Number to make sure everything has been created successfully.
