The Foster Carer Portal is a secure platform built using Salesforce Digital Experiences, designed for animal organisations using AnimalOS. The portal enables foster carers to securely access information about Animals assigned to their care. Carers can view animal profiles, including medical history, behaviour notes, and care requirements, ensuring they have all necessary details to provide appropriate care. The portal also facilitates communication between your organisation and foster carers, streamlining the exchange of information relevant to the Animal's ongoing care.

The Foster Carer Portal requires Salesforce Community licenses which needs to be discussed with the AnimalOS team.

Foster Locations

From within AnimalOS a Foster Care administrator can create a Foster Location for Foster Carer Contacts which enables Animals to be moved to this Location in the system using Movements.

Animal Movements

Movements on an Animal record are utilised to move an Animal into a Foster Location. This will share the Animal to the Foster Carer Contact who can then access the Animal via their secure and private login.

Portal Features - Shared Animals

The Animals who have been shared to the Foster Carer will be available from the portal login, similar to the view that an Animal Attendant will get using the standard AnimalOS experience.

Portal Features - Animal Details

Accessing an Animal record in the portal will provide a view of the Animal with relevant details.

  • Field access is based on Field Level Security assigned to the Foster Profile.

  • Animal Notes can be viewed and captured via the Notes tab.

  • Files can be viewed and captured via the Files tab.

  • Animal Actions are generated based on the Animals care plans.

The Weigh In feature allows a Foster Carer to capture the weight of an Animal.

Portal Features - Canine & Feline Questionnaires

The questionnaire feature allows a Foster Carer to submit relevant details about their living environment.

  • Secure login portal experience for Foster Carers.

  • Animal sharing logic which shares and removes sharing based on Animals that are assigned to the Foster Carer using Movements.

  • Foster Carer Profile configuration.

  • Foster Carer Animal page layout.

  • Access to Animal Notes and Files that are uploaded by the Foster Carer.

  • Access to portal features: Weigh In and Questionnaires.

Not Included

  • The ability to view Animals available for adoption.

  • The ability to submit expressions of interest about an Animal.

  • Custom branded portal experience (excluding logo which will appear in the top left of the interface).

  • No labels
