My Supports Roles closely resemble the Organisational hierarchy but are primarily used to determine Record-level access based on Territory (Geographic location)a range of criteria.
Roles have been can be set up, particularly access to Client Records, to be controlled by ownership (NTLRecord Owner) unless otherwise specified in a Sharing Rule. When specified in the hierarchy, Users will have access to all records that are owned by their subordinates according to the hierarchy.
