Animal Actions are used to manage the delivery of actions to an animal - daily observations, nutrition/food, treatments, enrichment, exercise, etc.
There are two supported ways to create actions:
Scheduled Actions - create scheduled actions that are queued for future delivery.
Animal Action Plans - assign a recurring plan to deliver common actions and actions based on specific animal needs (this is discussed in more detail in the next walkthrough).
Animal Actions can be managed each day under the Daily Obs Tab on the Animal Record.
Creating a scheduled treatment
In this example, we’re going to schedule a heartworm treatment for one of the dogs in the shelter.
Go to an animal record that has been assigned in your row and you will see an action in the Quick Actions section at the top of the page called Add Scheduled Actions.
2.The first screen allows you to select a schedule and the type of action. To schedule a heartworm treatment each month, select the Treatment option and set the delivery schedule.
3. The next screen will allow you to select the Treatment Type.
4. When you submit the scheduled treatment, you will see the actions listed under the Health Tab on the Animal Record.
5. Under the Daily Obs Tab on the Animal Record you can see the actions that need to be delivered today.
