CCS - Service Resource Operating Hours
Operating Hours
define the hours that resources can be scheduled to work. The default hours are defined on a Service Territory
Record but we can also define Operating Hours
for a Service Resource
that is assigned to a Service Territory to override the default hours.
Operating Hours
are defined by related Time Slot
Records that are created to represent each day.
Time Slots and Scheduling Service Appointments
When a Service Resource
has defined Time Slots, these will then be respected in the Service Appointment Management wizard.
In Service Appointment Management, when you select Manage Resources (Used for Service Appointments without an assigned Resource), only Service Resources
that have a Time Slot
that aligns with the Scheduled times of the Service Appointment
will show as an option to be able to either Approach or Schedule.
To find out more about Service Resource Management see this article.
Resource Time Preferences
An important part of configuring the Match Resources feature is to ensure that each Service Resource has a Preference Record created on their Service Resource Record. This will define the Time Slots that the Service Resource is available to work.
If a Preference Record is not created for a Service Resource they will not appear in the Match Resource feature.
The Time Slots
can be added to a Preferences
Record related to the Service Resource
to define when they're available to work.
