Custom settings are similar to custom objects in that they let you customize org data. Unlike custom objects, which have records based on them, custom settings let you utilize custom data sets across your org. Custom settings also let you distinguish particular users or profiles based on custom criteria.

Service Appointment Tolerance Setting

Appointment Check In Tolerance

Defines the number of minutes a Service Resource is permitted to Check In after the Scheduled Start Time before they are required to manually enter an Actual Check In Time or declare the time they have Checked In on their device as the Actual Start Time.

Appointment Check Out Tolerance

Defines the number of minutes a Service Resource is permitted to Check Out after the Scheduled End Time before they are required to manually enter an Actual Check Out Time or declare the time they have Checked Out on their device as the Actual End Time.

Allow Check In Before Start

If True, Service Resources will be able to Check In for a Service Appointment at any time.
If False, Service Resources won’t be able to Check In until the Scheduled Start Time.

Approval Percentage Threshold

The Approval Percentage Threshold holds a percentage value. This is then utilised in conjunction with Unit Variance fields on a Time Sheet Entry record.

When a Time Sheet Entry is created, we will check if Unit_Variance_Percent__c <= Approval Percentage Threshold.

Set to Approved, if Unit_Variance_Percent__c <= Approval Percentage Threshold OR to Submitted if Unit_Variance_Percent__c > Approval Percentage Threshold.

Service Appointments that are outside the threshold will create Time Sheet Entries that require Approval.
