A 'Block' Location record defines the different zones within an Animal Shelter.

A Block helps identify where an Animal is currently housed or could be housed. For example, a Block might be labeled 'Kennel Row' and include five cages (Units). To find the Animal's location, a User can look up 'Kennel Row' and then check the individual cage (Unit) details.

Information provided on the ‘Block’ Record includes Location Name, Parent Block, Block Capacity, Availability and Adjusted Capacity.

As Animals are moved to a ‘Unit’ sub location, Availability and Adjusted Capacity fields will updated to reflect the overall Block occupancy.
