Searching For Animals

There’s a standard search feature in Animalis which you’ll see at the top of the screen when you login. This search bar will find strings of text on all records in the database.

For Animal Records, you can search by a range of different text strings, including Animal Name, Animal Reference, Microchip Number and Tag Number.

 

From an Animal Record you will see suitable search strings to use when searching for an animal.

Instructions

To search for an animal, please follow the steps below

Using the Salesforce global search bar located at the top of your screen, type in a string of text relevant to the animal you’re searching and hit enter.

Using the search bar via the desktop login:

Go to the search bar at the top of the interface.

 

Search for an Animal by Name.

Search for an Animal by Microchip Number or Tag Number. If the record doesn’t immediately appear, click enter and you’ll go to the search results page which will present all records where the text string is found..

Search for an Animal by Animal ID.

The same search logic applies to other records in the system. If you’re searching for a contact, you can search using suitable strings of text related to a contact, like name, phone, email, contact id, etc.

Using the search bar via the mobile login:

The search bar on the mobile app is available via the search icon at the top of the interface.
