Animal Records are your source of truth for managing an Animal in Salesforce. Follow along below to understand the different Tabs, Sections, Components and Actions that are contained in the Animal Record.
The Details Tab
Key information is stored under the Details Tab on the Animal Record such as:
Name, age, gender, weight
Microchip status, Number and Tag Number
Location information
Animal Stage and Status
Breed information
Flags and Alerts
Tracking Details
Deceased / Euthanasia information
EzyVet Information
The Daily Actions Tab
Key information is stored under the Daily Actions Tab on the Animal Record such as:
Daily Scheduled Actions
Observations, exercises, treatment
Daily Completed Actions
Actions Status Chart
Behaviour Observation Summary
Observation Assessment Report
Behaviour Observation History
The Evaluations Tab
The information under Evaluations Tab mainly relates to the Animal's behavioural observations, how they interact with people and other dogs, respond to commands and sociability. This tab is connected to Adoption Management and Readiness which you can find further information on in the Adoption Section.
The Health Tab
Key information is stored under the Health Tab on the Animal Record such as:
Medical General
Desex status
Adoption Approval
Health Tracking
Health Check Reports
Indemnity Waiver Assignments
Conditions and Treatments
Actions, Exercise and Nutrition requirements
The Status Tracking Tab
Key information stored under the Status Tracking Tab on the Animal Record mainly relates to service expenses, status changes, status time frames and expense details.
From this tab, you can create new Animal Status Tracking and Expense records by clicking the New button in the relative component.
You can navigate to the Expense Record by clicking the Expense Name where you will find full details relating to the expense.
The Notes & Files Tab
The Notes & Files Tab on the Animal Record enables users to access important information relating to the Animal quickly. The Notes section can be filtered by Flag and Type of Interaction. Important note information is summarised in the table and you can access the full note details by clicking the Client Note Number.
New Notes can be created by clicking New in the top right-hand corner of the Notes section.
The Files section will display all previously uploaded files and allows you to upload new files by clicking the Upload Files button or dragging and dropping the file onto the record.
The Adoption Tab
The Adoption Tab summarises important adoption information such as Adoption Records, Rehoming Requirements and Contact Matches. View the Adoptions Article for a more comprehensive guide to managing Adoptions.
The Foster Tab
The Foster Tab summarises important foster information relating to the Animal's needs, and previous and current foster records. View the Foster Care Article for a more comprehensive guide to managing Fostering.
The Relationship Tab
The Relationship Tab provides links to Animal Contact Relationships, Animal Relationships and Animal Organisation Relationships.
The Movements Tab
The Movements Tab summarises important information relating to the movements of an animal. These include movements within the same shelter, to a new shelter or to foster care and more. View the Animal Movements Article for a more comprehensive guide to managing Animal Movements.
Animal Record Quick Actions
When viewing an Animal Record, frequently accessed and important links are easily found in the Quick Actions pane and in the dropdown list. These quick actions may relate to different tabs and components of the Animal Record and save you time having to search for them.
