The Service Booking for a given Participant’s Plan is an important piece of the information chain and underpins most of the functions within the Maica solution. A Service Booking can be access via a given Plan record within Salesforce using the following steps:

  1. Open a Participant profile (Salesforce Contact)

  2. Click on the Plan Management tab to access a number of plan-related records

  3. Open a Service Booking to access all available records for the selected Participant

The Service Booking object captures a number of critical and useful data points, as described below.

Data Point

Description

Start Date and End Date

The start and end date are significant data points within a Service Booking, as several business processes are typically built around these. Service Booking dates are automatically synchronised with Salesforce from the NDIS (alongside additional information).

Aggregated Budget Information

At the highest level, the Service Booking holds budget information which summarised all available Booking Items as approved by the NDIS.

Service Booking Items

Each Service Booking carries a number of Booking Items, usually at Support Category but this could also be at Support Item level in cases where a Stated Booking has been set up within the NDIS Plan.

The Service Booking Item Profile Screen

The following screen illustrates a typical Booking Item profile showing all relevant information in a single place based on a Service Booking record.
