DCR - How to log Jira Ticket
Creating a Jira Ticket
Click Create from the header menu
Providing details
Select Issue Type to be:
Bug: A user can’t log in or is prevented from doing a critical task
Task: For less urgent, but still important issues
Provide a clear Summary
Example: “NTL, cannot create new Opportunity Support Item records from Opportunity”
Provide any details to recreate the issue: This will be supported by screenshots, links, and descriptions.
Provide a detailed description
Provide the username of the User experiencing the issue
Provide screenshots of areas experiencing issues, in particular, add any error messages/codes. Note, you may add attachments by dragging and dropping them into the Issue Creation Modal
Provide URL to link to record, homepage, and app that has the issue
Further Details
There are more details that can be provided that will help prioritise tasks.
Assign a level of Priority:
Lowest, Low, Medium, High, Highest
Assign an Assignee:
If possible, assign to the user with the most knowledge of the area
Assign an Epic Link
