Resource Planning and Management Process

The Vertic team conducts a weekly project planning meeting to allocate resources and address blockers that any project or employee may be experiencing. During the meeting, updates are made to the Vertic Projects Snapshot document to outline the status and progress made on each current project.

Every project has its own dedicated Jira project board, where tasks are created and assigned to developers using a ticket system. There is no work that is assigned to a developer without a corresponding ticket.

Using the Tempo Resource Planning tool in Jira, resources are allocated tickets relevant to the current project they are working on. Project placeholders are used a month in advance to plan upcoming projects, so that resources have visibility of future projects and plan around these timelines.
