Quick Start: AnimalOS Alerts
The AnimalOS Alerts feature provides a flexible way to display critical information on records across the platform, helping staff stay informed and make safer, more consistent decisions.
Alerts can be configured in two ways:
🔔 Global Alerts
Global Alerts are rule-based and appear automatically on records when specific criteria are met (e.g. physical violence reported at a location, firearm incidents, or euthanasia exceptions). These alerts are created and managed via the Manage Alerts tab and can apply to any object in AnimalOS such as Locations, Animals, Jobs, or Contacts.

📌 Record Specific Alerts
Record Specific Alerts are created manually on individual records. These alerts are ideal for handling notes, procedural flags, or time-sensitive messages that apply only to a particular case. They are managed directly from the Manage Alerts button on the record itself.

All alerts are highly visible, colour-coded by severity, and can be styled to match their purpose. Together, Global and Record Specific Alerts help ensure that important information is never missed.
