Safety Assessment

Safety Assessment

Overview

A Safety Assessment is a required step for inspectors attending a Job to evaluate potential risks and classify the Job accordingly. This process ensures that all Interaction Cautions, related Jobs, and Persons of Interest (POIs) are reviewed before proceeding.

The Job Classification categories are:

  • Routine – No significant risks identified.

  • Moderate Concern – Some risks identified; extra caution needed.

  • High Vigilance – Significant risks; additional safety precautions required.

Inspectors must complete a Safety Assessment before attending a Job and update it if new risks are identified.

Where to Find the Safety Assessment

The Safety Assessment is accessed via the Quick Action on a Job record.

  • Persons of Interest (POIs) associated with prior incidents.

  • Locations where previous incidents have been recorded.

1.3 Actions Taken

Where warranted, the inspector can take additional steps, such as:

  1. Contacting Police if immediate action is required.

  2. Contacting Officers responsible for related Jobs.

  3. Requesting a Digital Investigation for further background information.

1.4 Setting a Job Classification

Based on the findings, the Job Classification must be set as:

  • Routine

  • Moderate Concern

  • High Vigilance

The Job Classification helps ensure that all relevant safety protocols are followed.
