Job Contacts
Overview
Job Contacts are individuals associated with a Job Record in AnimalOS. They may include informants, property owners, witnesses, or other relevant parties. Managing Job Contacts ensures accurate case documentation and helps assess potential risks for inspectors.
Adding a Caution to a Job Contact will trigger an alert banner on the job record, ensuring inspectors are aware of any potential dangers before conducting field visits.
1. Accessing Job Contacts
To view or manage Job Contacts:
Open a Job Record in AnimalOS.
Scroll to the Related List: Job Contacts.
Click on a Job Contact ID to open the record.
📌 Tip: If a contact is missing, verify if they are already listed under a related Case Record.
2. Adding a Job Contact
To associate a new contact with a job:
Navigate to Job Contacts under the Related section.
Click Add Job Contact.
Search for an existing contact or create a new one.
Select the Contact Type (e.g., Informant, Witness, Owner).
Click Save.
🔹 The contact is now linked to the Job Record and will appear under Job Contacts.
3. Job Contact Record Details
Each Job Contact Record stores essential details about the individual linked to a Job.
🔹 Key Fields in a Job Contact Record:
Job Contact ID – Unique identifier for the contact in the system.
Contact Type – Defines the role (e.g., Informant, Witness, Owner).
Notify Inspector – Checkbox to notify inspectors about updates related to this contact.
Violence Information & Advisories – Captures past or observed risks associated with the contact.

📌 Tip: If a Job Contact has a history of violence or threats, ensure the Notify Inspector box is checked.
4. Adding an Interaction Caution to a Job Contact
If a Job Contact presents potential risks (e.g., history of violence, weapons, threats), you can add a Caution, which generates an alert banner at the top of the Job Record.
🔹 To add a caution:
Open the Job Contact Record.
Locate the Interaction Cautions section.
Click New Caution.
Select the Caution Type, such as:
Observed Physical Violence
Observed Firearms/Weapons
Reported Verbal Abuse
Substance Abuse
Known to Police
Enter additional details (if necessary).
Click Save.
🔹 Effect of Adding a Caution:
The red advisory banner will appear on the Job Record.
The caution history will be stored under Interaction Cautions.
📌 Tip: Always check the Interaction Cautions list to review previous warnings before visiting a location.
5. Viewing & Managing Interaction Cautions
The Interaction Cautions section on the Job Contact Record maintains a history of all cautions linked to the contact.
🔹 Key Fields in Interaction Cautions:
Caution Type – The nature of the caution (e.g., violence, weapons, abuse).
Caution Source – Whether the caution was Observed or Reported.
Caution Date/Time – When the caution was logged.
🔹 To edit or remove a caution:
Open the Job Contact Record.
Navigate to the Interaction Cautions section.
Click Edit or Delete as needed.
Confirm changes.
