The Stage & Status Fields on the Animal Record are used to identify the current status of the animal and to track the history of the animal.
The system will also track the cost of the animal at each of the statuses that they pass through.
The selected Stage will filter the Status field by the values that are specific to that stage. You can see the dependency mapping between the fields via the table below.

Manage the Stage and Status on an animal:
Go to an Animal Record and use the Stage Path across the top of the screen to progress the animal to different stages. The Animal Status field will be filtered depending on the Stage that you select.
Sub Status can also be added based on dependencies from the selected Animal Status.
From the edit screen you can click on View all dependencies to see all the dependent fields in one view.
