Creating Animal Action Plans

Animal Action Plans are created to help standardise the approach to animal management in RSPCA shelters.

An Animal Action Plan is created with related Animal Action Items and then assigned to relevant animals via an Animal Action Plan Assignment.

Animal Actions are then automatically assigned to Animals based on the selected frequency on the Animal Action Plan.

Animal Action Plan Records are created by an admin or manager which then become available on Animal Records to be assigned.

  • Status - set to Active to make it available for assignment.

  • Animal Type - defines the animals where the Animal Action Plan is available for assignment.

  • Frequency - defines how often the Animal Action Items will be scheduled as Animal Actions.

From an Animal Record, I can see:

  • Animal Actions that are assigned under the Daily Actions Tab based on the Animal Action Plan.

  • Manage Animal Plans will open up a list of Animal Action Plans that I can assign to this animal.

  • Manage Today's Actions will open a list of Today's Scheduled Actions which I can then update.
