Referrals
Referral Records use Record Types to support the data flows for different types of referral, several of these are already live with the Programs team.
Available Record Types:
Aged Care (already live - Programs team)
Emergency Boarding (already live - Programs team)
Homelessness (already live - Programs team)
Pet Emergency Treatment (already live - Programs team)
Animal Intake - standard intake of an animal
Inspectorate Animal - supports the process for an animal intake from the inspectorate team
Stray - supports the process for stray animals
Surrender - supports the animal surrender process
Outbound Referral - supports referrals from RSPCA to external organisations
All animals who come into the system will have an inbound referral created to identify the source of the intake and this will also assign a Tag Number specific to this intake via the Intake Animal Record.
Create a Surrender Intake Record:
Go to the Referrals Tab in the Shelter Management or Shelter Operations Apps, select the Animalis Test Shelter Intake view and use the Pin Icon to set this as your default view.
Click the New Button to create a new Referral Record and select Surrender as the Record Type.
Add relevant details about the Referral and click Save. You can then select to add Animals to the intake, using the Bulk Animal Intake Quick Action.
The Bulk Animal Intake action allows you to add one or many Animal Records to the Referral Record.
The Field Set option allows us to create groups of fields in the background that can be used for intake, an admin can configure these and activate them on the Animal Record in the Object Manager.
When the Animal Record has been created, you can then use Movements to place the animal in a unit at the shelter.
Create an Outbound Referral:
Go to the Referrals Tab and click the New Button, then select the Outbound Referral option.
On the Outbound Referral Record, select the Referral Organisation where you’re referring the animal to and you can use Activities to manage any engagement with the external organisation.
