The Generate Adoption Profile feature in AnimalOS allows users to quickly create a compelling adoption profile for an animal using AI. This integration leverages OpenAI to generate a structured, engaging adoption profile that highlights key information about the animal, making it easier for potential adopters to connect with their future pet.

1. Accessing the Feature

To generate an adoption profile for an animal, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Animal Record page in AnimalOS.

  2. Click on the More dropdown menu.

  3. Select Generate Adoption Profile from the available options.

  4. The system will process the request and retrieve an AI-generated adoption profile.

2. Processing the AI Request

Once you trigger the Generate Adoption Profile action, AnimalOS will send a request to OpenAI. If successful, you will receive a confirmation message indicating that the profile has been generated and saved.

3. Reviewing the Generated Profile

The generated adoption profile is automatically added to the Adoption tab of the animal’s record.

To review and edit the profile:

  1. Navigate to the Adoption tab on the Animal Record.

  2. Locate the newly generated profile under the Adoption Profile section.

  3. If necessary, edit the profile to ensure accuracy and alignment with the shelter’s adoption messaging.
