Service Resource Skills

Skills are assigned to Service Resources in FSL and they represent areas or expertise, qualifications or other forms of skills. Skills are managed on Service Resource Records via Service Resource Skills.

 

 

Before assigning Skills to a Service Resource, ensure the following has been completed:

  1. A Staff Contact Record has been created.

  2. A Service Resource Record has been created via the Create Service Resource Quick Action.

  3. The Staff Member has been enabled as a Customer Portal User via Quick Action.

  4. Relevant Documents have been uploaded to the Staff Member’s Profile via the Management Documents Quick Action.

Next, head to the Staff Member’s Service Resource Record and follow the steps below.

Assign Service Resource Skills to a Service Resource Record

  1. Navigate to a Service Resource Record

  2. Click New on the Service Resource Skills related list

3. Complete the New Service Resource Skills fields

Skill level can be assigned as a level of proficiency in a skill. Skill level can be used to determine suitable candidates when assigning Service Resources to Work Orders and Service Appoints or utilising FSL automated scheduling.

4. Click Save & New to assign more Skills to the Service Resource Record.

 

Upload Documents that align with assigned Service Resource Skills

  1. Navigate to a Staff Contact Record and click Manage Documents Quick Actions

     

  2. Upload Documents that have the necessary skills assigned to them that are required on the Service Resource Record.

    1. In this example, the Service Resouce is required to be Vaccinated, we have added assigned a Vaccinated Service Resource Skill.

       

  3. When you upload a Vaccination document, the Service Resource Skill record will inherit the Document Expiry Date (if applicable) as the End Date.

    1. When a new Document Version is uploaded, you will need to navigate to the related Service Resource Record and click the Sync Skill End Dates Quick Action. This will ensure that the skills are up to date which is important for scheduling.

       

    2. Your Service Resource is now ready to be assigned to Service Appointments that require the specific skills.
