A Treatment Plan is created for an Animal to specify a medication schedule for the Animal, this will trigger Animal Actions to be created on days that align with the defined schedule.
Key features in creating a Treatment Plan include:
Setting the
Recurrenceschedule.Using the
Intervalfield to create an interval in the recurrence (for example,Recurrence = MonthlyandInterval = 2, will schedule theAnimal Actionfor every second month).Setting an
End Dateif the medication runs according to a specific course or settingOngoing = TRUEif it’s an ongoing treatment which only stops when theAnimalis no longer in care.Specifying multiple treatments for a day if needed using Create Additional Action.
Using the Start Date and First Given attributes allows you to create a treatment for a date in the past to ensure you have alignment with historic treatments when setting up their schedule.
