Animal Reports

Animal Reports are records used to capture details about a cruelty complaint. They are initially connected to a Case and passed to a Work Order in the event that an Inspectorate investigation is required.

Animal Reports will be completed and submitted from the portal but can also be completed in the event of a cruelty complaint phone call by the Contact Centre.

Create an Animal Report on a Case Record:

Create or go to a Case Record where the Record Type equals Inspectorate - Cruelty.

Under the Related Tab you will see a related list called Animal Reports - click New to create a new Animal Report.

You’ll then see that there are different Record Types available for each animal type, which will define a different set of fields to capture information depending on the type you choose.

Selecting the Dog Animal Report, I’m then presented with a set of fields that I can walkthrough with the caller to capture the necessary information. This is the same set of fields that someone will use online when completing a cruelty complaint. You’ll notice that there’s a Work Order field on the Animal Report, this can be left empty, it will update automatically when the Work Order is created.
