An Animal that comes into an RSPCA Shelter via the inspectorate team will be added with:
Stage = On Hold
Animal Status = Protective Custody/Hold (or similar)
A validation rule will prevent the Animal from being moved to an Animal Status that does not contain the words 'Protective Custody' unless the Released By field is completed on the Animal Record.
To access the Animal Released and Released By fields on the Animal Record, go to the Details tab and click into the Tracking section. Please note, only Inspectorate Team Members and Inspectorate Managers can update these fields.
To release an animal, update this section of the record and then change the Animal Status.
Updating this information will not notify the shelter that the animal has been released. Please also take this step after updating the animal record.
When an Animal is declared Ready For Release, the checkbox will be ticked and a record of the user who declared the Animal is ready for release will be visible.
Inspectorate Team Members will have access to the Animals Ready for Release report which contains a list of all animals in this status.
Notifications
When an Animal is released, the nominated Shelter Email Address will be notified.
A daily report will be sent via email to Inspectorate Team Members with a real-time report of Animals Ready for Release.
